adidas has teamed up with female athletes from around the world to deliver PureBOOST X, a running shoe created for women, by women. Based on years of testing and research with women everywhere, adidas has created a sleek, form fitting running shoe built to meet the relentless energy of their active lifestyle.
While most running shoes are adaptations of male shoes PureBOOST X was designed with only the female athlete in mind resulting in a high performance meets high fashion running shoe for women.
I was lucky enough to be part of the media launch at Goat Island (Sydney, Australia) earlier this month where we were not only kitted out in the latest kicks and outfit, but were also treated (ok maybe not the right word…) to 3 killer workout sessions taken by some of Sydneys best.
From boxing with Lauryn Eagle, to learning a hip-hop dance routine (trust me, this was laughs all round) to a HIIT session (soooo many burpees) but I powered through thanks to star of the show, yep, my new super sneakers. * Jess from Lazy Girl Fitness and I pre sweat session
* see, burpee proof
“The most common feedback we received during our years of working with female athletes was the desire for a running shoe with looks to keep up with the energy of its performance,” said Jennifer Thomas, Senior Director for Global Brands, Running. ‘PureBOOST X is a product of innovation and style working in perfect harmony to meet the demands of today’s versatile female athlete.”
PureBOOST X features a new floating arch that provides a completely fresh look and feel. The adaptive stretch mesh of the floating arch wraps underneath the midfoot to make the foot look smaller while delivering a supportive sensation you can feel through every run.
It’s a little odd to beginning with (because, new and different of course), but after 5 minutes they felt like a second skin. From lacing up through cooling down or making a statement with style, PureBOOST X feels exhilarating and looks amazing the moment you put it on.
Trust me, once you try these bad boys on, it will be love – they are so dam light and comfy!!
